LPN Graduation Ceremony

This summer, Americare Institute will honor graduates of its Practical Nursing Program.  The commencement ceremony will be held 3 PM, Friday, July 30, 2010 at Bethel Baptist Church Auditorium, 200 North Roselle Road, Schaumburg, IL  60194.Families and friends are invited to participate in this event. 

Note:  The Schaumburg and Hanover Park campuses are closed today due to our commencement ceremony.  We apologize for the inconvenience.  Please leave your messages on our voicemails or send us an email for any questions. 

Fall Enrollment Schedule Is Now Available

Download a copy of the Pre-requisite schedule for Fall 2010 Semester.

1. If you have not taken and passed a college level course, you will be required to pass a reading placement test before you are permitted to register for any pre-requisite courses.
2. If you want to sign up for the Math course, you are required to take a math placement exam. 
3. If you are interested in taking the English course, you will also need to pass a writing placement test.
   
   To sign up for one of these placement tests, please call our Schaumburg office at (847)397-0300.

• All applicants must complete an application for admission and pay the one-time fee of $25.
• A $25 registration fee is required every semester.
• A deposit of $200 is required at the time of registration for the Math, English, Psychology, and Computer courses.
• The C.N.A program requires a $300 deposit. 
• To make payments or to complete your registration process for the pre-requisite courses, please visit our Schaumburg location.
• Please note that your seat will not be reserved until all necessary deposits and paperwork have been completed.

To participate in the graduation ceremony, you will need to order your cap and gown online at www1.herffjones.com/college/graduation.

Please places your order by Wednesday, June 23rd to ensure timely delivery and avoid any rush fees .

If you miss this deadline, you may still be able to place a manual order for a rush fee of $25.

Webmail and My Americare Consolidation

Login information for Webmail and My Americare have been consolidated. This means that you will be using the same username and password for Webmail and My Americare. The convention is as follows:

Username:
     initials + student ID number
     example: ab7050000
Password:
     password (default - students can change password after initial login)

The ID number is 7 digits long, and starts with 705. CNA and LPN students can also find their student ID number on their ID badges. New stidents are sent this informatoin after enrolling for prereqs or applying for the LPN program.

Federal Student Financial Hands-on Workshop

Americare Institute will offer a free hands-on student financial aid workshop Saturday, March 6 from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m at the Schaumburg campus.

All parents and students are welcome, including high school seniors and current students already enrolled in Americare's pre-requisite courses.

The Financial Aid workshop is designed to help students and parents file 2010-2011 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) forms and offer financial aid advice.

Those wishing to attend must bring a completed 2009 income tax return for both the student and parent, along with an assigned FAFSA PIN.
