
Q. Is your LPN program approved and accredited?
A. Yes. Our LPN program is fully approved by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, a state agency that oversees all nursing programs in Illinois. Our school code is 49-135. Our LPN program is also fully accredited by the Northern Central Association.
Q. How long is your LPN program?
A. It generally takes 4 to 6 months to complete our pre-requisites. We allow you to take as many as your schedule will allow per term. Our core program takes only 1 year to complete.
Q. What are your pre-requisite courses?
A. We require the completion of five pre-requisite courses in order to begin the LPN Program: Computer Fundamentals, Effective Business Writing, Mathematics for Nurses, Medical Terminology and Psychology for Nurses.
Q. Do you provide financial assistance?
A. There are several ways to finance our LPN program: - You can participate in our interest-free payment plan.
- You can apply for a student loan through Sallie Mae (see Financial Aid information).
- You can apply for an additional funding through the Workforce Investment Act. This is a governmental funding available for low income individuals (see Financial Aid information).
- You can apply for student Pell Grants soon!
Q. I took courses from other schools. Do you accept transfer credits from other schools?
A. Yes. We accept credits from NCA accredited schools if the completed courses match with our course description. You must submit an official transcript and complete a transcript evaluation form in order to receive a course evaluation. There is also a $50 course evaluation fee.
