Q. I am unable to log in to my e-mail. What can I do to fix this?
A. There are several reasons why students may be unable to log in to their assigned e-mail addresses.
- Be sure that you type your e-mail address and password in lower case and that Caps Lock is not on. E-mail domains and passwords are case sensitive.
- 1&1's login page requires the full e-mail address to be entered in the field. Make sure to include '@americare.edu'.
- If you had recently registered for your first class at Americare Institute, your e-mail address may not have been created yet. Please allow 2 to 3 business days for e-mail requests to be processed.
Q. I am still having problems logging in to my e-mail. What else can I do?
A. If none of the above solutions have worked for you, please contact Kevin Beronilla (kberon@americare.edu) for assistance.
Q. Am I allowed to change my password?
A. Students are at liberty to modify their passwords as they see fit. The security and memory of passwords are of the student's responsibility.
Q. What do I do if I forgot my password after changing it?
A. In the event of a lost password, a student may request to reset the password of their e-mail address. Please contact our Schaumburg location to do so.
Q. How often should I check my e-mail?
A. It is recommended to check your inbox once a week at minimum, in recognition that certain communications may be time-critical. Please note that failure to check e-mail does not absolve a student from the responsibilities associaited with communication sent to his or her e-mail address.
Q. I am trying to access my e-mail with an e-mail client such as Outlook or Entourage, but it is unable to send and receive mail. How do I fix this?
A. For assistance in setting up e-mail clients to work with your official Americare e-mail, please refer to 1&1's FAQs.
